Park City Rafting opened in 1996 by local avid rafter and river enthusiast Kyle Hooker. After running rivers around the world, Kyle realized that what he really wanted was to share the experience of guiding in his own backyard and take trips down the Weber River, especially a particular section that, at the time, no one else was boating. In fact, in those days there was hardly ever anyone else around at all.
Since its humble beginning with just 3 boats, Park City Rafting has grown into a close-knit staff of fellow river-loving guides and employees. Robby Hamblin has since taken over the company and plans to carry on Kyle's legacy. Robby grew up on the river as well, with over 20 years of river guiding experience.
Throughout the years, Park City Rafting has continued to offer a truly unique and heartfelt experience, setting them apart from the other companies that have since started rafting the Weber stretch. Rafting is what we love, and we love sharing it with others!
In 2012, Park City Rafting acquired a sister company, Barefoot Tubing, the area’s top Weber River tubing rental and shuttle company, based in Morgan, UT.

Park City Rafting is powered by passionate locals who care deeply about the Weber River. Protecting and preserving this beautiful river valley is a core part of our mission. Our team regularly volunteers in river clean-ups, supports local events and nonprofits, and works to keep the river safe and welcoming for all who enjoy it. Each summer, we remove and recycle more than 70 pounds of aluminum collected along the river.

The Weber River is uniquely suited for summer recreation. Unlike many rivers in Northern Utah, its dam-controlled flow helps maintain steady water levels, and temperatures typically remain in the 50s and 60s throughout the season. As a result, conditions are consistently ideal for enjoying a smooth, scenic ride on a guided rafting trip.
The Henefer-to-Taggart section of the river is rich in history, diverse vegetation, and impressive geology. Our guides are highly knowledgeable about the area and are always eager to share insights along the way.
Experience some of the best whitewater rafting Northern Utah has to offer.
